3 and 4 Year Old Kindergarten

We provide a Victorian Government-funded kindergarten program. Our kindergarten program is inspired by Rudolf Steiner. Our Steiner-inspired kindergarten program focuses on learning: nature, seasons, doing all domestic activities, singing and music movement, stories and arts, daily rhythm, teachers, and educators role model children to be kind, pay attention to details, and perform any tasks with love and joy. Children initiate their learning experiences and self-direct their play during free flow play time. The three main goals in Steiner Education are thinking, feeling, and willing. Our goal is to create empathetic, lifelong learners who have a genuine love for learning and exploring the world.

We implement the Australian Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and the Victorian Early Years Learning and Development Framework (VEYLDF) to guide our practices and support children to achieve the 5 Learning Outcomes in early years. The five learning outcomes are: Children have a strong sense of Identity, Children are involved and contribute to their World, Children have a strong sense of Wellbeing, Children are competent learners and effective Communicators.

What is free kinder funding?

Wonder World Play Centre is a provider of the Victorian Government Free Kinder initiative. This means you will receive a Free Kinder funding Fee offset of up to $2,101 on your out-of-pocket fees when your child attends our funded kindergarten program in our long day service.

Free Kinder aims for all Victorian children to access two years of a high-quality kinder program before they start school. Enrolling your child in a kinder program for two years supports their learning and development so they do well in life and school.

Free Kinder is for everyone!

You do not need to be an Australian citizen to access Free Kinder. The Free Kinder fee offset is available if your child attends either our three-year-old or four-year-old kindergarten program for 15 hours (2 days) per week. Our long-day kindergarten program provides the flexibility for working and studying parents to drop off children early and pick up children later at a flexible time. We welcome parents to choose our long-day care integrated kindergarten program. Children can attend our long day care kindergarten program up-to 5 days per week.

If your child is enrolled in our funded kindergarten program, you will receive a savings of $2,101 from your out-of-pocket fees. We will apply this free kinder funding directly to your childcare fee account to offset your childcare fee on a weekly or fortnightly basis.

Each child can only enrol in one funded kindergarten program at any one time in Victoria.

Therefore, parents will be required to sign a Declaration Form to declare that you only enrol your child in one funded kindergarten program to receive one free kinder funding at any one time in Victoria at the beginning of the program. If your family needs to move to a new kindergarten, then our service would cease your child’s enrolment. Then you would receive free kinder funding from the new service.

Normal childcare fees apply to 3 and 4 old year kinder children in our long day childcare service with free kinder funding offset, and parents will receive the statement which proves the full funding of $2,101 passed onto families at the end of the year.
