Wonder World Play Centre is a long-day childcare centre for 3 to 5 years old children and operates Victoria State Government funded kindergarten program for preschool children. We have run the quality program in Preston for 25 years.
Wonder World Play Centre provides a warm and welcoming environment for all children and their families for the Preston and nearby communities.
Wonder World Play Centre values natural education in early childhood and has created a natural rich environment in last the 16 years. Children have opportunities to explore and discover many treasures in the environment. The natural rich environment provides fresh air for the children’s physical wellbeing and fosters their cognitive development.
Wonder World Play Centre utilizes Steiner inspired approach and provides a nurturing environment that nourishes the whole child and fosters imaginative play as an important foundation for lifelong learning. Children are surrounded by caring educators and beautiful nature. Learning space is stimulated by creative play, storytelling, singing, baking, painting and nature.
Wonder World Play Centre our educators are highly experienced and qualified, holding a diploma in Children Service or a bachelor’s degree in Early childhood Education. Our educators speak Chinese (Mandarin), Japanese, Tamil and Malayalam. Our educator to child ratio is 1:8, exceeding the Australian Legislation standard of 1:11, and this enables us to maintain a quality care and meet individual children needs.
Wonder World Play Centre educators view children as confident learners whose learning, growth and development are profoundly influenced by the quality of their relationship with people and their interactions with place and things.
We provide a natural rich environment that teaches children about nature for all four seasons of the year. During spring, they sow seeds for flowers and vegetables, which gives them the opportunity to see them blossom and ripen. They learn about the bees, butterflies and other insects on our playground, a process which fosters curiosity about the nature all around them.
During summer, the children enjoy eating the juicy plums produced by our very own trees, and in autumn, experience the ripening of pears and apples. All year round, they take care of their plants, garden and animals, all of which bring enjoyment to
